There is something special about the start of the autumn term. After the quiet of summer, our corridors fill again with conversation, laughter and anticipation as the whole community comes back together.

To our returning pupils: this is your chance to build on what’s come before, take on new challenges and grow in confidence. To those joining us for the first time: a very warm welcome — we hope you feel at home before long.

A new term is a good reminder of what school is really about. Yes, academic progress — but also curiosity, character, friendship and resilience. It’s about discovering what you enjoy, and learning to persevere when things don’t come easily. At Cothill, we want every child to make the most of what’s on offer, in the classroom and beyond, because these are the experiences that help them discover who they are.
