Sport is an integral part of daily life at Cothill, helping pupils of all abilities grow in confidence, character and teamwork.

Built on the three pillars of enjoyment, excellence and engagement, sport at Cothill is not just an optional extra, it is an integral and vibrant part of daily life. Every pupil is encouraged to discover the joy of movement, to embrace challenge and to develop a lifelong love of being active.

Through expert coaching, inclusive opportunities and a culture that celebrates both participation and performance, we aim to help every child reach their potential whatever their starting point. Pupils train in team sports at least three times a week, with every child proudly representing Cothill in fixtures. Specialist coaching in tennis, cricket and golf complements a rich programme that encourages exploration and growth across a wide range of disciplines.

Our teams regularly achieve success at county, regional and national level with our international tours creating memories that last a lifetime. Above all, sport at Cothill is about character and building upon our values of courage, originality, teamwork and integrity.

We hope every pupil leaves Cothill not only with fond memories of time spent on the pitch, in the pool, or on the court, but with the passion, spirit and self-belief to lead an active and balanced life long after they leave our fields.
