We know that military life brings a lot of change, but at Cothill, your child will always have a place to call home. Our close-knit, vibrant boarding community is full of fun, adventure, and enriching activities. Pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, growing in independence, resilience, and character within a safe, family-oriented environment.

From September 2026, families in receipt of CEA will only pay 10% of the fees as part of our commitment to provide stability, exceptional education and a supportive community for those in the military.

Whilst we offer day places, we remain proudly and predominantly a boarding school, where traditional boarding values continue to thrive. With over 85% of our pupils as full boarders, weekends are vibrant and full of life; your child will never be one of only a few remaining on site. Instead, they become part of a lively, supportive community where there is always something happening.
One of the undeniable strengths of Cothill is our strong, family-like atmosphere. Key elements of this include:
  • Our House system and boarding community – Every child belongs to a House, or ‘family’, fostering friendship, camaraderie and a genuine sense of belonging.
  • Dedicated Form Teachers – Regular contact ensures consistent pastoral care, support and guidance for every pupil.
Weekends are full and exciting, with a packed programme of activities including climbing, swimming, art and design technology, alongside outings such as laser tag, trampolining and trips to the zoo. There is always an adventure to look forward to, and friendships are formed quickly and naturally within our warm and welcoming community.
