Meet the Head

George May became Head of Cothill in September 2023, bringing 17 years of experience at Radley College as a senior Housemaster known for outstanding pastoral care. Educated at Aysgarth and Eton, George earned a First Class degree in Architectural History from Edinburgh University, followed by a two-year postgraduate acting course at LAMDA. He spent his 20s writing, directing, and performing across London, Europe, and America before joining Radley in 2006. George and his wife Emi-Lou, a writer and teacher, have four children and have quickly made Cothill their family home.
